Pole Engineer

The Pole Engineer is responsible for creating, reviewing, and editing make ready and pole loading calculations, as well as designing and engineering aerial plant. The role requires experience with electric utilities, telecommunications, or an engineering services company.

Requirements

• Act as an internal consultant to the Plant Team
• Maintain positive working relationships and open communication within all workgroups
• Demonstrate knowledge of outside plant design and new attachment permitting processes
• Develop Sonic fiber project solutions
• Work within the pole engineering team in a collaborative environment
• Produce project make-ready engineering documents
• Experience with pole loading programs: O-Calc, Spida-Calc, and EZ-Load
