Sony Music Publishing is seeking a Coordinator, Copyright to further their place, leadership, and expertise in the Music Publishing Industry. The ideal candidate will have prior internships and/or music publishing administration experience and a fundamental understanding of copyright administration. They will work closely with the leadership team and external business partners to service a rapidly growing roster of writers and songs.
Requirements
- Prior internships and/or other music publishing administration experience is helpful
- A fundamental understanding of copyright administration is preferred
- Understanding of confidential and privileged information
- Experience with problem solving and independent decision-making in complex, and sometimes vague situations
- Ability to evaluate, plan, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, and output
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Motivated to learn, develop, retain, and train new skills
- Capacity to work in a highly collaborative team environment, as well as work independently
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations, directions, and deadlines
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume, customer service-oriented team
- Ability to prioritize assignments and communicate with the team leader on a regular basis
- Bilingual or multilingual is preferred
- Competency with music business databases, and Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), or the equivalent
- A basic understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform such as Power Apps, Power BI, and Microsoft Dataverse is preferred
- A basic understanding of programming languages such as SQL and/or Python is preferred
- Organized and detail-oriented, with strong research and analysis abilities
