Job Description
System Engineer – Low LEO – IRIS2 required to provide system engineering support for ESA in-house activities, including definition of mission requirements and system architecture, ground segment engineering, and support to security engineering.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in System Engineering, Telecommunication or similar
- Strong proven experience with system engineering for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) missions
- Ability to define mission requirements and system architecture for space systems
- User segment engineering experience (user terminals, communication interfaces)
- Communications engineering expertise, including RF systems and link budgets
- Knowledge of ground segment engineering (mission control, TT&C, ground stations)
- Security engineering knowledge relevant to secure satellite communications
- Experience preparing technical and programmatic specifications for procurements, and perform technical evaluation of industrial proposals
- Proficiency in requirements engineering, traceability, and consolidation
- Experience producing engineering models, including MBSE
- Familiarity with coordinating multi-stakeholder technical activities (industry, agencies, EC)
