Job Description
Sorenson Communications is seeking Sign Language Interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign interpreting services for our Video Relay Service. As a part-time interpreter, you will work with Deaf and hard of hearing individuals, interpreting American Sign Language to spoken English. You will be required to maintain compliance with national, state, and local licensure and/or certification requirements, as well as adhere to Sorenson's standards and policies, FCC regulations, and the RID Code of Professional Conduct.
Requirements
- Ability to pass our required skills assessment
- High school diploma or GED
- Interpreter certification
- 3 years' experience working as an interpreter (preferred, but not required)
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Regular and predictable attendance
