Sotheby's is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to help revolutionize the company's 276-year-old business by delivering on the product vision for a modern marketplace experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry engineering experience with proven track record
- Excellent communication skills
- Intrinsically driven to innovate and to take initiative
- Eager to learn new technologies and open to learning from others
- Proven experience writing, deploying, and running distributed systems
- Experience writing microservices with clear separation of concerns
- Expert knowledge and experience with either Golang or Scala
- Expert knowledge and experience with a modern front-end framework like React
- Proven experience using data structures and algorithms
- Expert knowledge of RDBMS such as Postgres or MySQL and writing migrations
- Working knowledge of GraphQL and GRPC
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
- Working knowledge of messaging queue systems
