The Production Editor, Business will oversee accuracy and improvement of copy through editing, rewriting and fact checking. The role involves leading team and projects, cross functional collaboration, and managing copy improvements through careful editing, rewriting and grammar checking. The team covers a wide range of business themes across Asia, focusing on Mainland China and Hong Kong.

Requirements

• Degree or above in Journalism, Communication, Language or related disciplines.
• At least 8 years relevant experience in real-time online news operation, wire service, newspaper, or newspaper production.
• Excellent news judgment and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Good understanding of Hong Kong, the region, and international.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge in chosen specialist area.
• Must be meticulous with facts, able to work under tight deadline pressures.
• Top notch English writing style.
• Imaginative flair for engaging copy and generating ideas.
• Ability to craft SEO heads and social media headlines that will boost traffic.
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to anticipate problems and prioritize tasks.
• Page layout experience and knowledge of online production systems desirable.
