The Office Survey Specialist is responsible for supporting field surveying activities, ensuring quality and accuracy of Land Engineering products, and possessing a high level of surveying & mapping skill, expertise, and knowledge. The successful candidate will work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations, establish, maintain, and enhance client relationships, and focus on the needs of the client.
Requirements
- High school degree is required.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying and Mapping, Geomatics, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of field and/or office surveying and mapping experience (or college-related course work) is preferred.
- Working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or comparable mapping software is required.
- Experience with PLS-CADD is preferred.
- Experience in geographic information systems (GIS) is preferred.
- Experience in global positioning systems for land surveying (GPS) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of survey data processing using a variety of available software is preferred.
- Experience with LiDAR data and/or laser scanning data is a plus.
- Experience in the utility industry is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills required.
