Infection Preventionist

The Infection Preventionist directs and coordinates the Infection Control program in the district, implementing and enforcing policies, coordinating infection prevention and control, and facilitating ongoing monitoring of effectiveness. The IP supports Employee Health functions and may review employee health physicals, vaccination and titer status, and assist with annual related trainings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, or other Healthcare related field
• Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in infection prevention
• Registered Nurse license in California
• APIC membership
• Critical thinking skills, collaboration with nursing and ancillary departments, and knowledge of current Infection Prevention practices and interventions
