Adjunct Instructor/Theatre including Shakespeare Studies, Dance and Musical Theatre

This is a pooled adjunct instructor position for the Theatre Department at Southern Oregon University. The successful candidate will teach courses in Theatre, Shakespeare Studies, Dance, and Musical Theatre, and will have the opportunity to contribute to the social and cultural enrichment of SOU and the southern Oregon communities.

Requirements

• Terminal degree in Theatre or a related field
• Master's degree in Theatre History with expertise in Shakespeare and Elizabethan Theatre
• Bachelor's degree in Dance and/or movement with expertise in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, improvisation, and/or choreography
• Ability to teach using online methods
• Familiarity with the appropriate equipment as required for the discipline
• Willingness and ability to teach first year seminar, online and/or hybrid courses, and day, evening and weekend courses
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check
