Supervisor Ramp - IND

Southwest Airlines is seeking a Supervisor Ramp to lead a team that keeps planes moving safely and on time. The role involves managing Ramp Agents, ensuring safety rules are followed, and coordinating with other Airport Operations Teams. The Supervisor Ramp works assigned shifts based on seniority and is responsible for scheduling, training, and daily reports. The position requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of business and management principles, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

• Fully functioning, broad knowledge of Airline Operations
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA (Secured Identification Display Area) badge and meet all local airport requirements
• Must possess a current valid driver’s license issued in the United States
• Must be able to obtain GSC qualification and comply with the DOT (Department of Transportation) drug and alcohol testing program
• Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
• Ability to lift and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
