Water Treatment Operator

Golden Heart Utilities is seeking a Water Treatment Operator for a facility in Fairbanks, Alaska. The role involves performing various tasks such as monitoring, testing, maintenance, and reporting on water treatment plant functions. Operators will work in a class IV water treatment plant to produce, store, and distribute safe and clean water that meets standards. Experience as an operator in a Class II water treatment plant is required. This position requires dedication to cleanliness, responsibility, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Minimum one year’s experience as an operator in a Class II water treatment plant
• Valid Level II or higher Water Treatment System Operator Certificate
• Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of pumps, motors, and valves
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and read chemical test results
• Ability to inspect and correct operating equipment
• Ability to follow safety regulations
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical dexterity requirements
