As a Sr. Manager, Financial Services at SpartanNash, provide leadership for all financial services and staff development for the department, responsible for timely and quality completion of periodic tax and financial reporting, and work closely with customer accounting and operating personnel to identify trends, issues and opportunities to improve financial performance of customer stores.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Seven years accounting experience with financial statements and/or tax preparation experience
- Five years prior management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and effective decision-making skills
- Organizational and planning skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong initiative and ability to prioritize multiple projects/deliverables
- Excellent financial/spreadsheet modeling skills
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience reviewing and preparing financial statements and corporate, partnership, trust and individual tax returns
- Experience with Great Plains accounting software and Ulta Tax software preferred
- Ability to travel 10%
