Founded in 1938, the SPCA of Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to animal welfare across Dallas County and surrounding North Texas counties. The organization operates a shelter, a spay-neuter clinic, a mobile adoption vehicle, and an animal rescue center, while a team of investigators rescues hundreds of animals from abuse each year. Its services—adoptions, low-cost veterinary care, spay-neuter education, and rescue investigations—are delivered without reliance on municipal or federal funding, underscoring its independence and community-driven mission. By fostering partnerships that bring people and animals together, the SPCA of Texas stands out as a trusted, grassroots advocate for vulnerable animals and the communities they serve.
