Exercise Physiologist

Exercise physiologist job description involves providing all aspects of phases I – III cardiac rehabilitation, developing and implementing exercise prescriptions, creating educational materials, and supervising cardiovascular stress tests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• ECG interpretation experience required
• A minimum 2 years’ experience or successful completion of a 600-hour clinical internship in the cardiac rehab setting may be required dependent on job location within the system
• Current BLS Certification- required
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support- preferred
• ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional within one year of employment
