Job Description
The Nurse Extern Summer 2026 program is a 10-week immersion program for nursing students to enhance their academic knowledge and clinical skills. The program offers placements in various clinical specialties at Corewell Health's 8 hospital campuses. Nurse Externs will work with a Registered Nurse preceptor and participate in nursing staff conferences, in-services, and educational opportunities.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and attending an accredited school of registered nursing
- Requires evidence of successful completion of adult medical-surgical rotations – theory and clinical, required
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS OR American Red Cross (ARC) BLS, required and must be valid through July 2026
