Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer responsible for leading mechanical design and packaging of Spellman products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver durable, efficient, and innovative solutions. Key responsibilities include providing support to manufacturing, sales, and customers, and ensuring timely technical input to secure new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required; MS preferred
• 7–10 years of experience in power electronics packaging and electromechanical systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Ansys, or similar CAD/FEA tools
• Strong knowledge of electromechanical components and mechanical housing fabrication (sheet metal, weldments, fasteners); casting and plastic molding experience a plus
• Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
• Ability to distill complex technical topics into actionable insights
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Energetic, adaptable, and self-motivated problem solver
