Medical Assistant - Primary Care Float Pool

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides direct patient care within a clinical setting, under the supervision of a medical provider. This role emphasizes holistic patient-centered care, maintaining compliance with clinical protocols, and serving as a primary advocate for patients. All staff members are considered employees of St. Peter’s Health Medical Group.

Requirements

• Perform patient intake, including chief complaint, obtaining vital signs, medical history, medication reconciliation, and recording of clinical data.
• Perform patient care and clinical interventions, including administering medications and checking vital signs.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and document assessments.
• Utilize healthcare technologies such as RightFax and EHR.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
