Senior Technical Writer

Sphera is a leading global provider of enterprise software and services that enables companies to manage and optimize their environmental, health, safety and sustainability. We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for multimedia or web-based publications.

Requirements

• Possess a relevant Bachelors Technical Communications, English, Journalism or related field or equivalent experience and / or professional certification
• 5+ years of experience in profession
• Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of databases, client-server and cloud-based applications
• Strong interpersonal skills – must be able to work effectively as part of a project/program team and foster team cooperation
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Must have understanding of Technical Documentation processes and procedures
• Must have extensive experience interviewing Subject Matter Experts and converting that information into clear and concise user documentation
• Must be able to learn new software and technologies quickly
• Must have experience in a software development environment
• Experience with RoboHelp, Framemaker, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio beneficial
• Knowledge of HTML/XML/DITA/Structured Authoring is an asset
• Ability to comprehend current developments in their area of expertise
• Very strong oral and written communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with teams that are not co-located
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Self-starter, proactive, and team player
