Job Description
Spire is seeking a GNC/AOCS Engineer to operate alongside a technical team focused on maintaining the functionality and reliability of spacecraft systems. This role involves end-to-end lifecycle support, including R&D, design, manufacturing, and operations, within a rapidly evolving commercialization environment. The position requires hands-on work in laboratory and manufacturing, and leverages tools like C/Python and the Linux development environment. A hybrid work model requires at least three days in the office.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with a solid foundation in spacecraft attitude dynamics and control algorithms.
- Experience designing and/or implementing Kalman filters for attitude estimation.
- Experience designing and/or implementing flight sensors for spacecraft attitude determination/estimation.
- Experience developing software using C/Python.
- Experience working with external engineering contractors.
