Senior Software Engineer - Platform Infrastructure

The Platform Developer Experience (PDX) studio builds the infrastructure and internal products that power how Spotify engineers ship software. You'll join the Platform Infrastructure team within the Backstage Product Area, responsible for designing, building, and operating multi-cloud foundations across GCP and AWS, improving developer tooling, and driving operational excellence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience
• Deep experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS), Terraform, and Kubernetes
• Proficient in a modern programming language
• Strong experience with CI/CD and developer platforms
• Think in distributed systems and understand trade-offs
• Familiar with AI/LLM systems and their application to infrastructure
• Take ownership of outcomes and drive impact
• Communicate clearly and navigate complex trade-offs
