Job Description
Southwest Power Pool (SPP) is looking for a Supervisor of Operational Planning to lead a team of engineers in providing technical and analytical support to the Reliability Coordination, Market Operations, Tariff Administration, and Scheduling functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electric utility operations, excellent communication and team building skills, and a commitment to our core ideology of doing the right thing for the right reason.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other technical degree from an ABET accredited university
- 6 years of significant experience in electric utility operations
- Professional Engineer (PE) License and NERC Operator Certification are preferred
- Advanced knowledge of transmission system operations, Southwest Power Pool high voltage transmission system, and NERC Reliability Standards
