Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the direction of a physician and managing daily operations of the clinic. This includes performing various tasks such as patient assessment, medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with the physician. The role requires adherence to Illinois Nurse Practice Act and infection control policies.
Requirements
- Interview for nursing history, assessment and documentation.
- Obtain patient medical information.
- Document findings in the medical record.
- Administer respiratory treatments and document results.
- Administer irrigations and procedures.
- Collect and process specimens.
- Assist in preparing and performing various surgical and medical procedures.
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
