The LPN/LVN provides direct skilled bedside nursing care to terminally ill patients admitted to VITAS. They administer nursing care, evaluate patient needs, perform treatments, and maintain a clean environment, reporting findings to the team. The role involves patient education, participation in interdisciplinary team meetings, and assisting with plan of care development.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience
- 1+ year of satisfactory nursing experience as an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
