Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The LPN/LVN provides direct skilled bedside nursing care to terminally ill patients in a VITAS program, following the Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include patient care, assessment, documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care. The position involves maintaining a safe environment and participating in professional growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing
• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located
• At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year of which is an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
