Maintenance Operator - RMF Electrical

SSAB is seeking a Maintenance Operator - RMF Electrical to provide on shift maintenance of electrical systems, utilizing knowledge of industrial electricity and PLCs. This position requires working on rotating swing shifts.

Requirements

• Follow all maintenance JSA’s, and SSAB’s safety policies
• Maintain and troubleshoot medium and low voltage control systems and power distribution
• Repair and maintain all electrical equipment in Reheat, Rolling Mill, Finishing and Shipping areas
• Utilize PLC’s to diagnose problems related to plant equipment
• Perform PM’s on area equipment
• Perform Lockout / Tagout of equipment
• Implement software changes to improve processes
• Install new equipment related to projects
• Maintain plant building services, overhead lighting, heat trace circuits, 120/208V and 480V electrical distribution
• Maintain and install equipment in 480 Volt 3 phase power distribution systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on DC motors and low and medium voltage equipment
• Trouble shoot and tune control loops on proportional and servo valve applications
• Maintain and install video equipment
• Engineer, Design, install and commission new equipment and control systems
• Use IBA data collection system to aid in diagnosing problems
