Job Description
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for daily patient flow, triage, and assisting physicians with patient care. They will maintain patient medical data, equipment, and inventory, and provide customer service while supporting the organization's vision and mission.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Current MA Certification from one of the following: The American Medical Technology Association (AMT), The National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), The American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), The National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) Certification, National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or licensure as an intermediate or paramedic level EMT, Oregon LPN, or Oregon RN.
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
- Basic knowledge of ICD-10, CM/CPT/HCPCS coding conventions and procedures
- Working knowledge of medical practice management information systems
- Basic knowledge of physician office documentation standards
- One (1) year of experience in Medical Assisting for NHA certification
