Medical Assistant - Neurosurgery

The Medical Assistant position is responsible for daily patient flow, recording patient medical data, and assisting physicians with patient care. The position requires a high school diploma, MA certification, and basic knowledge of ICD-10 and medical practice management information systems. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining confidentiality, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Escorts patients to exam rooms and prep for physician assessment
• Records and maintains patient's medical data in patient's medical chart
• Assists physician with answering phone requests from patients and/or other medical professionals and institutions
• Performs a variety of physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical patient procedures
• Maintains equipment, instruments supply inventory levels
• Supports the vision, mission, and values of the organization in all respects
