Job Description
An allied health professional assists with surgical procedures, passes instruments, and maintains a sterile environment in the Surgical Services department. This role involves patient care, sterilization, and ensuring a clean and safe operating room. Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nursing Degree in NYS and/or Surgical Technologist certification
- Basic life support certification
- Sterilization certification, or working to obtain
- Ability to perform duties in all services including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Vascular, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology, Endoscopy, GYN
- Basic math skills and competency in creating figures
- Working in various areas of Surgical Services, ASU, PACU, and OR
