Job Description
St. Luke's School seeks a full-time History teacher in the Upper School. The successful candidate will join a team of passionate teachers who bring history to life for students. The school is seeking a colleague who understands their classroom role as mentor and coach, who enthusiastically advocates for critical reading, reflection, and research, and who embraces opportunities for challenging and age-appropriate conversations about complex issues and identities.
Requirements
- Teach a full-time load of 4 classes, including Ancient History and Modern World History
- Participate in an after-school activity such as athletics or theater for all three seasons
- Serve as co-advisor for a group of 6 to 8 students
- Assist with supervisory duties, such as study hall proctoring, lunchroom supervision, and chaperoning events
