Job Description
The Emergency Communications Operator is responsible for receiving, prioritizing, and dispatching calls for emergency services, as well as providing excellent customer service and direction to staff members.
Requirements
- Provide telecommunications grounded in excellent customer service
- Provide direction to SLETS staff members
- Schedule and dispatch patient transport crews
- Relay dispatch assignments and messages
- Determine levels of service and assign priority of calls
- Monitor and operate a radio console
- Record and maintain files of requests for service
