Pulmonary / Critical Care Physician responsible for providing medical services to patients in practice and hospital settings, participating in quality, patient satisfaction and performance improvement initiatives, and maintaining knowledge of current medical practices and skills.
Requirements
- Performs history and physical examination of all patients seen.
- Provides cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidenced based medicine.
- Makes best efforts to adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines that have been approved by the medical staff.
- Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range or treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.
- Provides regular, timely, and appropriate communication with referring physicians, patients and their families.
- Participates in education of patients and their families.
- Evaluates and implements patient health care needs.
- Coordinates patient care and makes referrals to physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, et cetera, as needed.
