Aboriginal Hospital Liaison Officer - Casual position available in Melbourne, VIC. Ongoing training and development opportunities, friendly and supportive team. Works with First Nations patients and families to provide culturally appropriate care, improve access to care, experiences of care, and health outcomes.
Requirements
- Certificate IV or Diploma level qualifications in Aboriginal Primary Health Care, or Aboriginal Health Worker Certificate IV, or other qualifications in health or mental health care, or in Community Development
- Of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
- Demonstrated knowledge of First Nations culture, values, wellbeing and social health issues
- Experience in working constructively with First Nations communities and personnel
- Experience in First Nations health care (note: mental health care experience would be an advantage)
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain/ Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain
