Job Description
The Laboratory Technician supports the Environmental Inorganic and Microbiology (IMB) section by preparing, preserving, and analyzing aqueous environmental and drinking water samples for inorganic compounds and microbiological contamination.
Requirements
- Knowledge of basic laboratory testing methods, materials, and techniques
- Knowledge of basic principles of chemistry and biology
- Ability to use laboratory equipment
- Ability to follow prescribed procedures accurately
- Ability to make precise observations and interpret test results
- Ability to detect differences in colors
- Ability to use a programmable calculator
- High School Diploma or equivalent including at least one laboratory science course, OR One (1) year of laboratory experience
