Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Primary Therapist to join our clinical team. This role involves providing individual, group, and family therapy for adult and geriatric patients in accordance with licensure requirements, professional standards, and organizational policies.
Requirements
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions for adult and geriatric patients
- Evaluate signs and symptoms of substance use and co-occurring conditions
- Identify patient strengths, weaknesses, and problem areas to develop treatment plans with patient involvement
- Apply appropriate counseling theories and techniques with sensitivity to cultural, gender, lifestyle, and age differences
- Coordinate all services related to client care, including crisis intervention and resource utilization
- Communicate relevant clinical information effectively with patients, families, groups, and staff
- Respond to off-hour concerns in a timely and effective manner
- Recognize patient needs beyond the scope of services offered and provide appropriate referrals
