Standard Aero is seeking a skilled Paint Technician to join our dynamic team in Winnipeg. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with expertise in spray paint, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision within our Military and Defense business unit.
Requirements
- Select, prepare and mix solutions or coatings according to formulas and specifications
- Operate blasting equipment to clean and prepare the surface of materials and components
- Prepare and mask parts with fixtures, rubber, tape, tafa, antibond or metal masks prior to coating
- Set up and operate various types of manual, spray guns to apply coating to parts
- Remove masking, clean overspray and wash parts
- Inspect surfaces visually for defects and compliance with specifications
- Cleans and maintains spray/coating equipment, fixtures and blast cabinets
- Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes
- Cross train in other complementary skills and seek endorsements for those skills as needed to support production requirements
