Buildings Designer

Join Stantec's Buildings team as a Buildings Designer to enhance the quality of life globally through design. Assist in developing designs, utilizing BIM technologies, and implementing sustainable design principles.

Requirements

• Participate in team meetings and coordination sessions
• Assist in monitoring and coordinating internal team and external consultant work and deadlines
• Support project teams in developing designs through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats
• Develop design concepts, renderings, and presentation drawings
• Utilize MicroStation, Open Buildings, and other BIM technologies to create three-dimensional models of buildings and their components
• Prepare and revise documentation across various architectural phases
• Coordinate building systems to ensure they align with the design intent
• Assist with contract administration tasks
• Implement sustainable design principles into building designs and the surrounding environment
• Conduct site analysis and research concepts, benchmarks, typologies, and precedents
