Civil Designer Infrastructure

Stantec is seeking a Civil Designer to join their team in Pune, India. The role will involve providing civil design support on site civil and land development projects, preparing basic site layouts, and interacting with other team members.

Requirements

• Preparation of basic site layouts, general arrangement drawings, site grading, plans and profiles, cut and fill calculations, site servicing including water distribution, sanitary sewers, storm water management, shallow utilities, erosion & sediment control etc.
• Design and documentation of projects under the instructions and guidance of a Project Engineer
• Understanding design and drafting systems and standards
• Design guidance and instruction to drafting staff, and junior/intermediate designers
• Travel offshore for training/on-site work
• Regularly interact and engage with other members of the discipline
• Adherence to professional standards, ethics and Client quality procedures and standards
• Develop design skills and industry knowledge together with a consistent track record in performance
• Assist in development of tools and constant improvement to procedures and standards
• Attend project review meetings and ensure the provision of completed and reviewed drawings (self-verification checklists)
• Develop a reputation for reliability and consistency
• Invest conscious effort to develop effective written and verbal communication skills
