Geotechnical Field Technician

We are looking for a Field Technician within the Geotechnical and Materials Engineering department to perform field and laboratory QA/QC monitoring and testing services.

Requirements

• Travel to sites, collection of samples, obtain field data
• Inspection of drill and test pit investigations
• Construction QA/QC Monitoring and Testing
• Field and laboratory testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, mortar and bituminous paving mixtures
• Fill placement and compaction monitoring
• Fresh and hardened concrete monitoring and testing
• Input test data into laboratory software programs & review generated reports for accuracy
• Operating computerized and digital testing equipment
• Assisting in resolution of technical issues on construction sites
• Interacting with Materials and Geotechnical Engineers routinely
• Maintaining laboratory testing equipment accuracy
• Continuing to improve technical abilities and certifications
