Transportation Engineer - Roadways & Highways

Requirements

• Design integrated municipal roadway, provincial highway, transit facilities, and active transportation facilities projects for clients
• Assist project managers in delivering large multi-disciplinary transportation projects
• Lead projects or technical components of projects from planning through design and technical support during construction
• Plan, organize and control project budgets and schedules
• Work with the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP's, tenders, budgets, cash flows, and preliminary schedules
• Provide direction to engineering staff in the preparation of designs, design drawings, contract documents, engineering specifications, and cost estimates
• Prepare correspondence, engineering reports, proposals, expressions of interest, specifications and meeting minutes
• Ability to lead a team of professionals on projects, as well as liaise with clients and sub-consultants
• Provide project guidance and mentoring for junior staff
• Provide Quality Management reviews by ensuring corporate policies are followed and documented
