barista, Back of House - New York Reserve Roastery

We are seeking a barista to provide exceptional customer experience, model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles, and contribute to the success of the Starbucks Reserve brand.

Requirements

• Experience in the service, culinary, restaurant or entertainment industry
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, climb stairs, and stand without limitation and for long periods of time
• Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
• Available to work flexible hours
• Ability to memorize complex menus, ingredients, beverage & food builds
• Health code certification per jurisdictional requirements
• Ability to work as part of a large and matrixed team
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to build relationships quickly
• Ability to work in multiple positions within different store departments (Zones), performing many different tasks within the departments during each shift
