Software Systems Engineer

Role Overview

Torch Technologies is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to provide software integration and execution support to United States Space Force (USSF) STARCOM. The position requires an individual possessing a wide range of skills and demonstrated experience in deploying and executing software in an automated environment.

What You Will Do

Developing containerization and deployment pipelines for M&S software, automating provisioning and configuration of build/test environments, testing and benchmarking software execution in a DevSecOps environment, and preparing and presenting reports and briefings.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related STEM field
• 5+ years software engineering, networking engineering, or infrastructure engineering including hardware/software integration
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent)
• Experience in Java, C++, python, typescript or a closely related language
• Proficient with shell scripting languages like Bash, AWK, sed, Perl, Python
• IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) and config management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, DSC)
• Linux and Windows server hardening & compliance (RMF/STIG)
• Expertise using the Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
