The Data Centre Critical Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for performing day-to-day operation and maintenance of facilities systems at StarHub Data Centres and Offices, as well as planning, evaluating tenders, and project-managing expansion projects. The role also involves ensuring strict security systems, managing customer-related work orders, and maintaining records and drawings of facilities. Additionally, the engineer will conduct regular checks for potential safety hazards, manage new leases, and perform 24x7 standby duties.
Requirements
- Appropriate qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunications or Facilities Management
- At least 2 yrs of work experience in facilities area, in particular Data Centre environment
- Good understanding and hands-on servicing experience in all facilities systems and building maintenance
- Class 3 Driving Lesson (Manual Gear)
- Basic networking, broadband access and structure cabling knowledge
- Computer literate with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, AutoCAD
- Ability to manage and supervise contractors
- Self motivated with strong drive and willingness to take on challenges
- Good written and oral communications skills
- Ability to interact with people of all levels, especially with end customers
- Good working attitude with minimum supervision and ability to perform under pressure
- Initiative and professionalism with ability to multi task
- Service oriented manner and ability to work independently
