Data Scientist

The data scientist is responsible for developing Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence models to help enterprises realize key business value through Telco Insights. The role involves designing and developing scalable Telco Big Data Analytics Models, proposing and designing effective analytical approaches, and independently developing solutions that leverage on latest AI/ML models.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics or related disciplines
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Big Data analytics application development
• Experience with Business Intelligence Visualization (e.g. Tableau, AWS QuickSight)
• Experience in presentation to stakeholders to articulate business values for analytical/data science projects
• Experience in the following Big Data technologies: PySpark, Kafka
• Programming experience in one or preferably more of the following languages: Python, Scala
• Experience with Cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud)
• Exposure to real-time streaming technologies (e.g. Spark Streaming, Apache Flink)
• Good understanding of software agile development, continues integration and deployment
• Attention to details, a self-starter and self-learner continuously keeping up to date with industry developments
• Creative problem solver and ability to think out of the box
• Experience in Telco industry will be an advantage
