Senior Cloud Security Engineer (Automation & Tooling) - Engine by Starling

We're looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our team at Engine by Starling. As a hands-on builder, you'll be responsible for the security architecture of our multi-tenant core banking platform, architecting and writing Go-based tooling, automating defenses, and ensuring our infrastructure across AWS and GCP is secure by design and compliant by default. You'll work on complex security problems through software engineering, focusing on identity & network security, unified vulnerability orchestration, and compliance as code.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud security, ideally with a focus on identity and access management
• Proficiency in Go, with experience in building and maintaining large-scale Go-based systems
• Experience with cloud native security, including Kubernetes and container security
• Strong understanding of cloud identity models and network protocols
• Practical experience with AWS or GCP, ideally managed through Terraform
