Job Description
The Underwriter - Financial Lines role is responsible for writing profitable business in line with the underwriting plan, using professional judgement to achieve target premium revenue, return on premium and business growth. The role involves underwriting commercial property and casualty insurance, including travel and accident coverage, and managing underwriting risk exposures through aggregate limits and reinsurance.
Requirements
- 3 + years' relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of specific class of business (D&O, FI, PI)
- Knowledge on market wordings and clauses and reinsurance practices
- Up-to-date knowledge of claims to inform future underwriting decisions
- University degree level (Law or Business Administration) with ability to read and understand and work with companies' Financial Statements
- Able to speak English fluently both written and spoken. Portuguese and/or Italian desirable.
