Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Internal Communications Specialist to join our Communications department. As a member of STARS' Marketing and Communications team, you will play a vital role in STARS' life-saving mission, developing and leading internal communication plans, donor communications strategy, and content planning & management. You will also engage and connect teams across multiple geographic locations through in-person, online, and virtual methods.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in communications, public relations, journalism or equivalent
- 5 to 7 years of progressive professional communications, public relations, and/or marketing
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills with experience with CP Style preferred
- Advanced time management skills, ability to thrive with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience working with executive communications
- Demonstrated ability to provide thought partnership on complex projects and issues
- Experience writing and editing for various mediums
- Demonstrated ability in taking initiative to drive projects forward
- Ability to manage direction and input from internal and external sources
- Collaborative team player who is flexible and driven with a keen attention to detail
