Job Description
The Court Reporter I position at the State Courts System involves recording court proceedings, researching, editing transcripts, and assisting in training. The role requires independent work, accuracy, and proficiency in English grammar and transcription. Responsibilities include recording, audio recording, transcript production, and submitting to parties. The position operates in all counties of the Eighth Judicial Circuit.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience (2 years college education or vocational school)
- Four years of related experience (computer operations, medical/legal terminology, court reporting)
- Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) certification and membership in the National Court Reporting Association (NCRA)
- Experience with Eclipse and computer-aided translation (CAT) software
- Realtime writing experience preferred
