ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST III - 42003368

The position is for an Environmental Specialist III in the Office of Agricultural Water Policy, Bureau of Field Services, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The incumbent will assist with the coordination and implementation of the Basin Management Action Plan and Total Maximum Daily Load programs in the South West Florida Water Management District. Duties include conducting BMP implementation verifications, collecting nutrient application records, and implementing the FDACS responsibilities under the Florida Watershed Restoration Act.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in environmental protection, regulation, or health; one of the physical or natural sciences; engineering or agriculture;
• High school diploma or equivalent and one and a half years of experience as an Environmental Specialist I or higher with the State of Florida;
• Bachelor's degree (4 years) from an accredited college and six months of experience in environmental protection, regulation, or health; one of the physical or natural sciences; engineering or agriculture;
