Job Description
The Purchasing Agent I position is responsible for evaluating and processing assigned purchase requests for commodities and contractual services for the Department of Health. The incumbent will work closely with program offices and county health departments to ensure purchasing requirements are met in a timely and economical manner.
Requirements
- General knowledge of State of Florida purchasing rules and laws
- Skill in use of personal computers
- Skill in use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques
- Ability to adapt to change and learn
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, using proper grammar and language skills
- Ability to work independently and make routing decisions with minimal direction
