STAFF ASSISTANT - 60024240

Staff Assistant performs a variety of office administrative support functions, including preparation of reports, correspondence, and documents, and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Assists with special projects and provides guidance to the administration to ensure deadlines are met and/or targets are achieved.

Requirements

• Two years of administrative or clerical work experience
• College or vocational school can substitute for the required experience
• Experience, education or training in hiring, employee recruitment and selection activities
• Experience with DCF HR systems (Footprints), People First Talent Management System, and MS Office Excel and Word
• Knowledge of basic principles of human resources management
• Knowledge of effective communication techniques
• Ability to research and analyze issues
• Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques and make independent decisions in accordance with documented processes
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to program functions
• Ability to recognize and satisfy customer needs
• Ability to organize work assignments
• Ability to handle high-volume workload and multiple assignments
